Delete (remove, uninstall) WordPress plugin manually via FTP

Follow the next steps in order to delete (remove) WordPress plugin manually via FTP:

  1. Download and install FTP client (for example, Filezilla).
  2. Open FTP client and enter your FTP access credentials (host, username and password) to access files on your server.
  3. Navigate to YOURWORDPRESSSITEwp-contentplugins directory.
  4. Delete (remove) necessary plugin by deleting its folder.
  5. Check the result.

Follow the next steps in order to deactivate (disable) WordPress plugin manually via FTP:

  1. Download and install FTP client (for example, Filezilla).
  2. Open FTP client and enter your FTP access credentials (host, username and password) to access files on your server.

  4. Disable the necessary plugin by renaming its folder.
